Peace in trouble....

 John 16:33 ESV  "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take hear; I have overcome the world."  (Jesus) Today, Kids and families seem to face more troubles than anyone can imagine. The recent Pandemic with its isolation and the loss of so many lives,  the inflated cost of living for families, and even education systems that would rather teach gender and race identity than math, reading and real life skills, just to name a few.  I have never seen kids under more attack than I see today.   At Kidsfirst Ministries we say, "Kids are the most overlooked, underrated people on the planet."   What we seeing unfold today continues to affirm that statement.  These challenges continue to make their way into the church as well.  That is where Pastors, Kids and Student Ministry leaders struggle to deal with the counter-Christian values, lifestyles and agendas which are being p...

Raise the bar on kids!

                                                               The Heart of a Kid's Pastor Did you know that all Kidmin leaders have something in common? What do you think that might be?  Some would say Kidmin leaders have a child-like presence and child-like attributes.  In other words, they act like big kids!  This may be true of many of us but it isn't what we are referring to today.  I do believe that those child-like qualities often are God's special anointing (gift) for the work he has called them do. Others might point to the most obvious answer to this question of commonality, and that is,  all Kidmin leaders work with kids. That would be true, but it is not what we are looking for either. What I am referring to is something that is far more important and has a much greater scope....

The Heart of a Kid's Pastor

What is the Heart of a Kid's Pastor? We should first start with what makes you a Kid's Pastor?    A Kid's Pastor is one who has said yes to the call of Christ and His plan for their life. It is also one who is as passionate as Jesus is about reaching kids and families!  Kid's Pastors are a diverse group. Some are called to full-time ministry and have prepared themselves through education, training and experience. Some are bi-vocational and God has called them out to serve kids.  Others are volunteers, yet they have responded to the call of Christ and love kids like Jesus did!   So, What's the heart of a Kid's Pastor?  The Heart of a Kid's Pastor is what what moves you as a Kidmin leader! First, It is about reaching lost kids and families so that they can experience God's love and His incredible plan for them.  Saying yes to God is always the beginning of something incredible!
